An FCA community event geared toward students but open to the whole family and community. Everyone is welcome, whatever your age. The evening features student-led prayer, scripture reading, worship, and games.
Faith Christian Church is proud to welcome FCA and help our community prepare for this special night.
Our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are due back on Sunday, November 15. If you picked up a box, now's the time to fill it with small toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and a whole lot of love.
Every box is an opportunity to share God's love with a child around the world this Christmas. Questions? Message us on Facebook.
Join us for our annual community Christmas celebration — an evening of Christmas carols and the telling of the Christmas story, under the lights at Turnley Park. All are welcome!
Last year's gathering brought our whole community together for music, popcorn, and the greatest story ever told. We can't wait to do it again.

“Our Purpose and Mission Is to Know Him and Make Him Known.”
Faith Christian Church is a nondenominational family of faith in Kaplan, Louisiana. We're a family-led church: Pastor Farley Painter shepherds the congregation, serving alongside his wife Trudy and their son Gad. That family spirit runs through everything we do, from Sunday worship to our community Christmas celebration at Turnley Park.
Our mission is simple, and it's written on everything we are: To Know Him, and To Make Him Known. "You are the light of the world. ... Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:14, 16) We want our neighbors and the world to know the love of Jesus.
If you're looking for a church home where you'll be known by name, we'd love to meet you this Sunday at 10:00 AM.

A weekly devotional by Pastor Farley Painter. Encouragement from God's Word for you and your family.
It has been said that we live in an ever-changing world. And it seems that to me it is changing faster all the time. Now that we have Space X in our community, I know more changes are on the way, some good and some not so good. But be assured "a change is a comin".
Change can be unsettling for some of us, but there are a few things that are constant and remain the same. God and His Word, the Bible, are two things that remain the same.
Hebrews 13:8 — Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Matthew 7:24-25 — "Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house; it won't collapse because it is built on bedrock."
God and His Word, they are immutable and unchanging. We can build our lives on God and His Word and find peace and stability in an ever-changing world. Let us learn to put our trust in Him and His Word.

Matthew 4:18-20 — One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers — Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew — throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, "Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!" And they left their nets at once and followed him.
The concept of "follow" can represent three separate possibilities: (1) walking with Him (literally), that is merely being in His presence regardless of personal belief or commitment; (2) accepting and identifying with the salvation He offered; and (3) being identified with Him by being subject to the scorn and rejection of unbelievers because of personal belief and commitment to Him.
Jesus has challenged each of us with the same challenge and that is to follow Him. Which of the three possibilities best represents your life? Do you think Jesus is pleased with your choice? If not, then why not follow Him in the way that best pleases Him.
Jesus gave His all for us, we then should give our all to Him.

Have you been praying about something lately and the Lord has not answered you yet?
1 Kings 19:11-13 — And as Elijah stood there, the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave.
Are you like the prophet Elijah looking for God to answer you in a mighty act like a windstorm, earthquake, or a huge fire?
Most of the time He answers us with an inner witness or a still small voice, not in our head but in our spirit.
If you can't hear Him, maybe you might need to get a little quieter so you can hear Him. He is speaking but are we listening?
